Hmm. They answered my install question ok. For other questions you
have to go elsewhere, but they did not promise more that installation support
for free. You can get any kind of support you want from them, for some money.
Your expectations are not realistic. RedHat did not mislead you.
It says right on the box what they support - installation only.
What would it cost them to have a knowledgable techie work with you
for an hour. About $50-$100. What does the boxed set cost? $50.
That's why you won't get that level of support. The only software that
provides
you a techie for hours costs LOTS of money. Tell me of an exception
if you can. You get a techie with a big Oracle system for $50,000 for example.

I think they are improving it, and there is a long way to go. All we can do
is bear with it, do the best we can, and help each other. Think of yourself
as a pioneer, not a consumer. Getting a good
Unix/Linux book or two is essential here, as is the book that comes
with the RedHat boxed set. Once you get over the hump
it becomes fun. :-)
