I was contacted by Mr. Christopher Fogarty a few moments ago with the
following apology to the list, with a request that since he is not able
to post to the list that I forward it on his behalf.
Seems he is having a rather horrible time with spammers, and the message
was sent from his personal account. He inadvertantly attached his work
email address signature.
We've all blown it and been uncool; I guess he's now obtained membership
in the "Foot-in-Mouth Club" just as so many of us have.

Richard,
I would like to express my gravest apologies to you. This note was not sent
with intention to the list. Let me take a moment to explain. I have been
receiving well over 1000 unsolicited email from yahoo and hotmail accounts per
day to my personal home account. I have written several times to both yahoo and
hotmail regarding this issue and I have had no success. So as a result I set
up a filter in Eudora to take the mail and generate a rather nasty response to
it.
I am not certain as to how this ended up getting out to the redhat list other
than the possibility that someone on the redhat list is using a yahoo or
hotmail
account, and Eudora picked this up and responded to it. In addition, I had the
wrong signature file checked and Eudora placed my work signature on the note.
For
all of this I would like to sincerely apologize. None of this was intended to
happen. As, I do not have access to the redhat list I would appreciate it if
you
might pass this note along to the list.
