Hmm do you have to boot from a floppy? I use System Commander 4 and Redhat
5.2 (have used system commander 3.0 and redhat4.2 as well) on the same
machine without using floppy. You edit the /etc/lilo.conf to boot from the
beginning of the partition, not from MBR...:
Lets say you have your rootpartition at /dev/hda1
Lilo.conf:
boot=/dev/hda1 (instead of boot=/dev/hda as it says by default)
and run "lilo" of course :-)
You will now be able to set hda1 as bootable in systemcommander, and boot
from it, without floppy
If you don't use your first hd as root-partition, you will get a warning.
