No, I've experienced the same thing with 5.2--sometimes it asks about PCMICA
support, sometimes it doesn't. On our Dell Inspiron 3200's it was not asking
about PCMCIA support until I went into the BIOS and chose "Non-Plug and
Play" OS.

Something got screwed up in the woodwork. Have made several laptop
installs of 5.2; am _ALWAYS_ asked if I need PCMCIA support for the
install. If you answer "Yes", then you'll get it. Did you have an
extra carriage return already in the buffer, perhaps?
