Hey,

I am a college student in computer sciences. In my college, we use UNIX
terminals as a standard environment. We never had a class on how to USE
UNIX or LINUX. This is something that you CAN and SHOULD learn on your
own.

In the end, LINUX is just an OS. The tough part is not learning how to
use it, it is more to learn how it was implemented in the first place.
So as a college student, I advise you to buy sevral books on the
subject, and learn it for your self. For the rest, there are sevral
mailing-lists like this one in which dozens of people can answer all
your questions, and, if not, there are many HOWTOs you can rely on to
make any UNIX/LINUX project you might think of a reality.
