Compaq stores all of the binaries to give you the fancy GUI on that
partition, as for the loader in the MBR...well I don't know for a fact
but I'd have to say probably. I have a Compaq deskpro that I blew that
away after I found that I couldn't boot to it after installing Linux.
make a disk set and you'll still be able to get to it
