First off, let me clear something up for everyone: Netscape has been
acquired by AOL. *Thats it* Netscape is still its own Company with its
own headquarters and own management. *THAT* managment is going to decide
what is best for the company.
AOL isn't going to have their programmers start messing with the code
for Communicator or any other Netscape products. Conversely, Netscape's
programmers won't be monitoring the AOL chat rooms!
whew!

Not trying to start a flame war here or anything, but wtf are you
getting stuff like that from? When has a word processor or anything even
close to resembling that been mentioned as an add on/in with the
Netscape browser?
The new features for 5.0 will be an engine based on Internet standards
such as HTML 4.0, CSS 1/2, XML 1.0, and the Document Object Model. And
in case you haven't heard, the new browser is based on mozilla, which
follows the linux open source example by providing the source code for
its browser. As with linux, this will make for a faster, more efficient
program(or OS!) that adheres to Internet standards.
This is a good thing no matter what angle you look at it from.
