Ok, looking again in LILO's user manual it says 

Error 0x01 

means that (maybe) it could not access the specified BIOS drive.

What I don't understand is why the BIOS doesn't see the IDE drive.

My BIOS can enable/disable any primary/secondady, master/slave drive
that I have, so it actually manages them (in fact, the IDE controllers
are on-board, that is all my drives ar connected to the main board).

My configuration is this:

IDE Primary Master: 6GB HD - NT/Linux
IDE Primary Slave: CDRW
IDE Secondary Master: CD
IDE Secondary Slave: 850MB HD - Windows 98

LILO gives me this error when accessing the drive where Windows 98 is.
