I can speak for the remote campus of the University of Michigan Flint. This
is a completely separate branch of U of M offering their own degree
programs. Not only do they have many Solaris based servers, but they also
make extensive use of Linux in the CS dept. In fact, there are
scripting/networking courses that use them, as well as some of the
programming courses. (IE - Fortran, etc.) Our computer science dept. is by
no stretch of the word "decent"...in fact, we only have 6 profs!
