You don't need the customer no. immediately. You can install the whole
thing (setup /net as root) and then run setup as a user. When this
window comes up, there is a note indicating that if you don't have one
yet, then register.
All you do is register (go thru the registration routine) and you will
immediately be assigned a customer number, etc. This will also eliminate
the message telling you that the unregistered version will deactivate
after such and such date.
