As root, run lilo again:
# lilo
it will reinstall the lilo boot loader so you can
boot from the hard drive.

Sometimes the act of running mkbootdisk can
change a file or two in the /boot directory so that running
lilo again is necessary. In any case, doing this
cannot hurt anything.

Lilo installs the boot loader only if it gives no errors
when you run it. So if you see any errors, you need to
solve them and retry. Give it a try...

Make sure your little partition is mounted on /boot
when you run lilo.

lilo is complicated (because pc booting is both stupid
and complicated). There is documentation in
man lilo
man lilo.conf
/usr/doc/lilo*
For an easy tutorial that is complete - I'd like to know

the URL for that too!
