I can only give you my experience on the windows platform... but I was
rather impressed with the K6-2 300. It appeared to operate just as
fast or faster than my PII-300. Rather sad since I paid a lot more
for the Intel chip :(

Has anyone seen a good comparison of CPU's using Linux and unix apps for the
benchmark? I want to see where the AMD K6 2 300 falls in the range of
Intel Tillamook 266 MMX
Intel PII 233
Intel PII 266
Intel PII 300
Also if anyone has experience or opinions about these (mobile versions of
the Intels) in a notebook - would the AMD run too hot?
