Hi all. This evening I was attempting to upgrade one of my machines
running kernel 2.0.32 to 2.0.36. The snag I ran into is that the SCSI
adapters are getting probed in a different order under the newer kernel. I
have 2 SCSI cards, an adaptec and a BusLogic. Under 2.0.32, the adaptec is
scsi0 and the buslogic is scsi1, so the root device is sda. Under 2.0.36,
it's reversed, so sda ends up being the Zip drive, and obviously nothing
works from there. What can I do to make it switch them back? This is
*much* preferred to changing fstab, etc. to match the new locations...
TIA
sean
