Hi,

I recently upgraded to redhat 5.2 from redhat 5.0. The upgrade went
pretty smoothly on most fronts, except I have had two irksome problems.
My first problem is compiling C++ programs which require being linked
with libraries that were compiled g++. Whenever I compile a program with
egcs's c++, that requires being linked with libraries compiled with g++,
i recieve quite a few number of errrors reguarding unresolved symbols.
Is this normal? Anyone know how I can fix it? If i compile these same
programs with gcc's c++, they compile fine.
My second probelm is in reguards with cfs. Before I upgraded to 5.2
cfs use to work fine, however now it seems to have stopped working. I
was using cfs 1.1, however upgraded and tried with cfs 1.4 and that did
not work either. The error message I get when mounting cfs is the
following:

[root@nut cfs]# /bin/mount -o port=3049,intr localhost:/.cfsfs /crypt
mount: RPC: Timed out
[root@nut cfs]#

Some other info:

[root@nut cfs]# rpm -q nfs-server
nfs-server-2.2beta37-1
[root@nut cfs]# rpcinfo -p
   program vers proto port
    100000 2 tcp 111 rpcbind
    100000 2 udp 111 rpcbind
    100005 1 udp 635 mountd
    100005 2 udp 635 mountd
    100005 1 tcp 635 mountd
    100005 2 tcp 635 mountd
    100003 2 udp 2049 nfs
    100003 2 tcp 2049 nfs
 555959655 1 udp 3049
1092830567 2 udp 3049
[root@nut cfs]#

Any help would greatly be apreciated

Sincerely,

Nadeem Riaz
