Could you elaborate on the "acknowledged
problem in recompiling kernels on laptops with pcmcia support".
I think I may be experiencing this. I looked on the RH Errata page but did
not see this mentioned.

The problem load has been tiny by comparison to 5.1. The errata are
so far limited to mostly sercurity upgrades, there is an acknowledged
problem in recompiling kernels on laptops with pcmcia support (but the
distro kernel works well, just lacks APM support). They're working on
that. There are some arguements about how the newest version of
linuxconf works - but overall it seems to work well.
5.1 has a recommended bug fix upgrade set that looks like a new install.
