I have FTPed the tarred 5.2 dist from sunsite.unc.edu, and before I start
and hit trouble, would like to know what kind of snags I might run into.

I have an nt server with IIS4 running on it, and the distribution extracted
(with Winzip) into the ftp (ftproot/pub/redhat5.2) here. I have also copied
it to a small win98 fat-16 partition on the destination machine.

I was unable to start an install from the hard disk, but I think there may
be an Long File Name problem, as the directory is named redhat5_2, and a DOS
dir lists it as REDHAT~1. I have no idea how RH handles it, but I will
rename it to something shorter before I proceed again.

Do I need to be concerned with symbolic links, as they exist on sunsite, and
if so, where can I find docs describing how one preserves the symbolic links
when copying to FAT or NTFS partitions?

Thanks in advance
