We are running RedHat 5.1. Our network goes down for some unexplained
reason at least once a day.
The problem started to occur after installing Samba, and accessing some
of MS Access Database from PCs running NT and Win95 in the same Local
Network Neighborhood.
The problem is that we lose the network connection once this occurs,
and the only way we can think of fixing it is to reboot (that is
executing 'network stop' and 'network start' does not work). ifconfig
ects as if the network is still alive.
Any ideas on the cause of this problem or a way to solve this would
be appreciated.
Thanks in advance:
