Also, after doing make menuconfig.. do 'make zImage' if you are running
Linux from the MBR.. or 'make zdisk' if you are running from a boot disk.
doing a make zdisk is much better (and faster) on boot than mkbootdisk.. but
that's only for bootdisks.
After compile.. it's usually good to copy zImage from
/usr/src/linux/arch/i386/boot/ to /boot
...
