You probably all heard that senior Intel staff have joined the queue to
testify against Microsoft in the anti-trust trial. They complained
Microsoft bullied them into dropping plans to develop their own software.
What you might not have heard is the reason Bill Gates gave for this in his
video testimony: "Intel was wasting its money by writing low-quality
software that created incompatibilities for users." You can see his point:
that's Microsoft's job.
