Installing redhat 3rd CD packages

Hello i was trying to install redhat´s 3rd CD but here is the problem:
my CD rom is mounted ok i see when it´s reading the CD but i just see
all the directory´s packages and not the files names...
(my cdrom is mounted on /mnt) so i type:
cd /mnt/cdrom/RedHat/directory_name but it is not working
Any ideas?
