Announcing WatchLogon
Creative Assistance Software is proud to announce the immediate
availability of WatchLogon 1.0 for the LAN Server network administrator.
WatchLogon provides password error monitoring for LAN Server 3.0 and 4.0
domains with user account disabling, administrator notification, and a
configurable time to automatically enable the effected accounts.
Intended for use as a detached process on a LAN Server domain controller,
WatchLogon is completely transparent to the network user and requires no
additional workstation software.
With a retail price of $199.00 ($159.00 for additional licenses) WatchLogon
provides an economical additional security layer to the LAN Server
environment.
A fully functional WatchLogon demo is available from the Creative
Assistance Software BBS at (704) 544-2515. The demo has a 12 hour limited

In addition to WatchLogon, the Creative Assistance Software product line
includes NetPM. NetPM is a full featured administrative interface to LAN
Server complete with performance monitoring and graphing. NetPM provides a
single interface to LAN Server features not possible with any other single

CAPWATCH 1.0 Released
Charlotte, NC - Creative Assistance Software announced the release of CapWatch
1.0, a new addition to their line of OS/2 LAN Server utilities.
CapWatch is designed to meet the need of LAN Server administrators,
particularly those using LAN Server Entry to track server utilization
against configured capacity parameters.
The varied demands placed on network servers by multitasking operating systems
such as OS/2 makes tracking server utilization against configurations critical.
Simply counting the number of workstations does not provide the administrator
warning of utilization approaching the configured limits.
CapWatch provides real time graphing of the utilization, logging of the data,
graph capture and re-display and configurable alarm and alert levels. The
program may be operated locally on the server being monitored without
generating network traffic or remotely across the LAN from any OS/2
workstation.
Opens, file locks, connections, sessions and shares are monitored by CapWatch.

WhoAmI/PM 1.0 Released
Charlotte, NC - Creative Assistance Software announced the release of
WhoAmI/PM 1.0, a new addition to their line of OS/2 LAN Server utilities.
Now any LAN user can answer the help desks questions simply by opening a
Presentation Manager notebook.
WhoAmI/PM provides an inexpensive tool to assist the help desk in
determining problems an OS/2 environment by providing information about the
requester and user account configuration. The utility also provides the
user with a point and click mechanism to reconnect 'lost' aliases from the
list of those assigned at logon.
WhoAmI/PM joins NetPM, CapWatch and WatchLogon in Creative Assistance
Software's line up of LAN Server utilities. NetPM is the premier
administration interface for LAN Server 3.0 and 4.0. CapWatch provides

NETPM 2.0 Released
Charlotte, NC - Creative Assistance Software announced the release of NetPM
2.0, a new version of the premier administrator's interface for OS/2 LAN
Server. The new release provides the LAN Server administrator with
management capabilities not previously available with any management tool
for LAN Server.
"We are very excited about NetPM 2.0". Carl Neal, President of Creative
Assistance Software, said about the new release. "NetPM 1.05 had distinct
advantages over the LAN Server 4.0 interface and NetPM 2.0 extends the
additional capabilities offered by our product. The ability to graph
multiple machines, the statistics logging, the multiple domain support and
the LAN configuration reports make NetPM a great asset for the LAN Server
administrator."
"LAN Server 4.0 continues the tradition of LAN Server being independently
evaluated as the fastest network available", Neal added. "The LAN Server
administrator deserves a fast administrative interface and NetPM provides
that on top of all the additional capabilities it provides the
administrator."
NetPM 2.0 provides added LAN configuration options to the administrator
with the ability to assign resource aliases and applications to groups.
With this configuration the aliases and applications are automatically
assigned to the user ID when it is included into the group and removed when
a user ID is deleted from the group. This configuration is constant with
different administrators managing the same domain even with different
installations of NetPM.
NetPM 2.0 provides up to eight real time graphs of server statistics,
server requester statistics, or the local requester statistics. The server
or requester graphed in the primary window may be logged. This log file
provides statistics information to the LAN Server administrator with time
information added to the normal LAN Server statistics.
NetPM 2.0 also provides the LAN Server administrator with capabilities only
available with command line commands such as user permitted logon hours.
New LAN Server 4.0 features such as directory space limitations may be
managed with NetPM 2.0. The new release is compatible with LAN Server 3.0,
3.01, 4.0, OS/2 2.0 2.1, 2.11 and 3.0.
Creative Assistance Software provides free telephone support for NetPM,
with customers having direct access to company programmers. Normal support
is 9 AM to 6 PM Eastern Time.
