PART 1 :  VisualAge C++ for OS/2

Dave Knott, IBM Canada, LTD, will cover the concepts of "Visual
Programming" and "Construction from Parts." These concepts will be
demonstrated primarily using IBM's Visual Builder which is part of the
VisualAge suite of products. Included will be a live demonstration of the
Visual Builder in which applications will be constructed, compiled and run.
This demonstration will showcase some of the advanced features of the
VisualAge C++ product including the Open Class Library, multimedia,
toolbars and other f eatures.

For the second half of his presentation, Dave will discuss IBM's OO
strategy. Object technology offers new paradigms for application creation.
Team development, distributed applications, reusability and optimization
tack on new meaning. This presentation will examine these and other key
areas and provide an overview of the technologies and tools that will
enable organizations to address the demands of diversity in today's
application development environment..

Future Developments: IBM plans to bring VisualAge into Web era! This
"tool" will be enhanced for building Web-based client/server applications.
For example, a future release of VisualAge, first for Smalltalk and then
for C++, will introduce a folder of HTML Web parts. Developers will click
