---------------------------------------------------------------------
Version 2.11a of PM PostNotes was just uploaded to the following sites:

  ftp://hobbes.nmsu.edu/incoming/pmpn211a.zip
  ftp://ftp-os2.cdrom.com/os2/incoming/pmpn211a.zip

Eventually, it should be moved to the /os2/wpsutil directory. It will also
be available from:

  ftp://ftp.wilmington.net/bmtmicro/pmpn211a.zip

This version is an interim release to address two serious SYS3175-causing
bugs that were introduced in 2.10a.

PM PostNotes is a collection of utilities that were inspired by personal
needs and the introduction of OS/2 Warp (c). This application is not
unique, but it does possess features and characteristics which distinguish
it from existing applications.

PM PostNotes offers specifically:
   o  configurable Post-It (c) notes
   o a configurable digital chime clock
   o a calculator complete with a printable tape
   o  a stop watch
   o  an address book
   o  an envelope printer
   o  a phone dialer
   o  a program launcher
   o  an event scheduler

POST-IT NOTES
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
These are sizable windows into which notes can be jotted directly.  Notes
can possess individual font and colour schemes, can be listed in OS/2's
switch list, and can accept attached alarms.
DIGITAL CHIME CLOCK
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The clock is an attractive window that can use can display the date and/or
time using a `digital' font or any other user-defined font. It can
optionally chime the hour, quarter hours, and half hour. And, it can also
optionally toll the hour.

CALCULATOR
~~~~~~~~~~
The calculator can behave as a standard or minimal financial calculator.
Its selling point is a tape to which calculations can be appended and
printed if required.
STOP WATCH
~~~~~~~~~~
The stop watch behaves like a standard stop watch, incrementing the hour,
minute, and second time element. Moreover, closing the stop watch
preserves the last incremented time which can then be used in subsequent
invocations.

ADDRESS BOOK
~~~~~~~~~~~~
The address book makes use of OS/2's notebook object to organize entries
alphabetically.  A number of sort filters are provided, as are home and
business call statistics, which will optionally track the date, time, and
duration of the last call that was placed to either number, in addition to
a total duration of all calls.  The address book can be printed as can a
log of calls.  PM PostNotes will happily import a comma-delimited file, as
well.
ENVELOPE PRINTER
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The envelope printer is tied into the address book. Thus, printing the
address of an address book entry is as simple as right-clicking on the
desired entry and selecting the appropriate menu item. Up to three fonts
can be used for each address item: the return address, recipient's
address, and the "Attn:" line.

PHONE DIALER
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Like the envelope printer, the phone dialer is also tied into the address
book which makes it particularly easy to recall an individual's telephone
number and dial it using your modem.
EVENT SCHEDULER
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The event scheduler is a highly configurable applet that allows a user to
schedule events using any number of frequency/repetition settings. Events
can be scheduled to repeat as little as every minute to once every 2nd,
3rd, ... week, month, year, for example. Associated with the scheduler is
a Time usage graph spanning 0:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. that will display the
starting and, if applicable, ending time of each event for a given day. A
perpetual calendar is also provided with highlighting to denote days upon
which an event exists.

PROGRAM LAUNCHER
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The program launcher is an extension of the event scheduler, that offers
the same benefits of scheduled events but allows a user to launch programs
or WPS objects.
PM PostNotes is released as shareware.  The demo version contains the
following limitations:
  1 - The Product Information dialog is displayed on every 10th invocation.
  2 - The Product Information dialog is displayed on the creation of every
      note exceeding the number of 10.
  3 - Scheduled reminders and launches are limited to 10 items.
  4 - The Address Book entries are limited to 20.
A flexible registration scheme is offered to address the needs of
individual users.  PM PostNotes comes in four, reasonably priced, editions:
  1 - Basic (postnotes + calculator)
  2 - Extended Clock (Basic + Clock + Stop Watch + Scheduler)
  3 - Extended Address Book (Basic + Address Book + Envelope Printer + Dialer)
  4 - Deluxe (Basic + Extended Clock + Extended Address Book)
