Dear OS/2 Vendor:
On September 14, 1995, from 10AM to 9:30PM, IBM, the New York Personal
Computer User Group (NYPC), and the Tri-state OS/2 Users Group invite you
to participate in the New York "OS/2 Warp Application Open House."
The purpose of this event is to reach as many people as possible in the NY
tri-state area and expose them to the wide range of OS/2 Warp applications
available now.
This event will be an all day affair. You are welcome to display your
product(s) on pedestals. In addition, there are several smaller rooms
allocated on the same floor for half hour revolving presentations on your
products. Other rooms are available as classrooms for hands on training
classes.
There is no charge to you to display your product(s) on pedestals, for
presentation rooms, or for the classrooms. There will be no charge to
attendees. IBM, NYPC, NY OS/2 User Group, LI OS/2 User group, Northern NJ
OS/2 user group, and the Westchester OS/2 User group are inviting their
members and others to this event.
Several companies have already confirmed their attendance at this event,
including:

ClearLook DB Technologies
Indelible Blue IBM
This is a great opportunity for you to reach a large number of potential
customers in the biggest business cities in the world, for only the cost of
travel and accommodations. This is a great opportunity to show the buyers in
this area what YOUR application can do, and how it takes advantage of OS/2
Warp.
The invitations are being mailed out from the following lists:
New York Personal Computer User Group: 2,300 members
tri-state area OS/2 user groups: 1,000 members
IBM client lists in the tri state area :?
A purchased computer publication mailing list: est - 52,000
The targeted audience is businesses of all sizes, but specifically people from
corporate IS. Many individuals, consultants, and consulting firms will be
invited.
Attending the event are David Barnes and John W. Thompson, as well as other
senior management IBM people.
