Recently an announcement about a DEMOPKG CD-ROM was posted to
comp.os.os2.announce. This announcement was actually the internal IBM
version. Indeed, free evaluation software is available from IBM, but
the announcement omitted one vital piece of information: joining BESTeam
allows you to obtain evaluation software.
BESTeam is IBM's partnership program for consultants, resellers,
and others who recommend, install, and service IBM's software products.
Benefits include free software, discounts on technical support, lead
referrals (opportunities from IBM's salesforce), membership directory
listings, and more.
Details on how to join BESTeam, and whether you may already qualify,
are available on the Internet. Right now membership is open to
residents of North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
(BESTeam programs for Asia and South America are likely to be introduced
in the near future. Watch the WWW sites below for news. Or contact the
