Hello everyone,

You may or may not remember the game Psyberball, which was never a
game... never made it past a demo/test program. Well, Psyberball's
development has been restarted by the OS/2 Games Development Group --
    http://www.phys.uts.edu.au/~crelf/OS2_GDG/intro.html

The web site is still pretty empty, but there's a little about the
graphics I'm working on.

Psyberball was originally started in 1995, I believe it was (hard to
remember anymore, it's been so long), by a group called Mages/2. I joined
the group to work on graphics. Shortly after that, the Mages/2 name was
dropped, for what reason I don't know. Development was exciting for me at
first, because I hadn't actually got to work with anyone on software before.
I'm not sure how exciting that actually is, but anyway, I thought it was
neato. Those of you that followed Psyberball's development know that after
the first three demos were released, little changed, even though a
completely new demo/test was promised, with a completely new physics engine,
which was never to be seen.

So, now with the OS/2 Game Development Group, I have been able to keep
my first game project alive. The OS/2 GDG originally started work on an
entirely different game, sort of a "Sorry" with a religious theme that was
multi-player over the internet, but development of that was very very slow,
for various reasons I'm 'sure (I have mine, I'm sure others in the group
have theirs). At that time, I was still working with the original
Psyberball programmers, but finally, they said they were through with it,
and didn't mind if I used the Psyberball name if I wanted, and so I offered
the project to the GDG. Since we've started working on Psyberball, there
has been much more email going on than on that first project we started. I
still don't have as much graphics ready as I did for that original version
(haven't even completed the graphics for a single table actually), but I'll
take care of that ::o)

So, I just wanted to let those interested know that Psyberball is back
in development, and I wouldn't mind any feedback or whatever on it.

My email address has, of course been "fixed" to avoid SpAM emails.
