A new version of PmNotes, _the_ OS/2 Warp sticky note program has been
released.
This version fixes a few annoying bugs that sneaked into version 1.3:
- Opening the "Show note" window using the hotkey (default: Ctrl-tab) was
impossible without first redefining the hotkey combination to _not_ use
Ctrl.
- Fixed a bug in the main window time display.
- Closing a note from the popup menu of it's Window list entry would close
the entire program. Now, only that particular note will be closed
(deleted).
Program description
PmNotes for OS/2 is your ultimate replacement for those yellow sticky notes
that won't stick to the edges of your monitor. It is a simple and easy to
use program without the overhead of a lot of gadgets you will probably never
need anyway. What PmNotes _does_ offer, is some extra functionality directly
related to the notes on your desktop.
Here are some of the key features:
- If running on Warp 4, PmNotes recognizes URL's in it's notes
- and let's you drag them to a folder or your browser as a standard URL
object.
- Main window can optionally be configured to display alternating date
and time.
- There's system wide hotkey support for easy access to the PmNotes' main
window, in case you're not using the float on top feature. There's a
separate hotkey for easy finding of notes that are hidden or stacked away
behind a pile of windows.
- Alarm function for notes. A previously created (and maybe hidden) note can
popup and warn you on a specified date and time with a beep. or a wav-file
you selected.
Especial, with the URL recognition in the notes you have a sort of
temporarily bookmark list. You will wonder how often this comes in handy.
To find out more or download it, surf to the PmNotes section of my site at:

You can also download it from:

And it is uploaded to hobbes.nmsu.edu and ftp-os2.cdrom.com as
pmn131.zip
