[Followups directed to comp.os.os2.apps]
---------------------------------------------------------------------
PM TimeTracker 1.10 is now available for download. This small native OS/2
application provides a method to keep track of what your time is spent on.
It is designed to be as unobtrusive as possible and to take up as little
desktop space as feasible and still be usable. It allows up to 39 separate
tasks to be defined and keeps a log of what time is spent on what. It
includes the ability to issue timed prompts for information. A
comprehensive report generator is included and the capabilities of this can
be expanded by using Rexx. The log files are kept in CSV format suitable
for loading into a spreadsheet in case the built in reporting facilities
are not adequate for your needs.
As before this is "email-ware". It's free but has a registration code -
this will be sent to anyone sending me an email requesting one. Just give
me your name.
I have uploaded it to ftp://hobbes.nmsu.edu in /pub/incoming directory. Its
final destination is /pub/os2/apps/pim and the file name is tmtrk110.zip.
You can also obtain it from http://warped.cswnet.com/Sysbench/moreapps.html
where you can also see a screenshot of the app.
More information can be obtained from the readme.txt and changes.txt in the
ZIP archive.
The latest information can be found from the "Other applications" link on
the Sysbench web page (http://warped.cswnet.com/Sysbench/index.html).
Changes included in this version
Changes in release 1.10
=======================
Added the ability to vary the number of buttons on the toolbar. You can now
define between 1 and 39 buttons for separate tasks and assign a hotkey to
each. Restructured the setup dialog to take account of this.
Added the ability to combine the toolbar attributes so that buttons can now
be labeled, colored and/or small at the same time. Previously it was
possible to choose only one of these attributes at a time.
Changed the font in all dialog windows.
Added the ability to produce reports using NOT logic in the search words
(i.e., show me all records that do not contain abcdef).
Corrected a bug where a non-existent REXX command could be entered and the
report would be generated with no notification. It now issues an error
message to tell you that the rexx command could not be found.
Added the ability to move the log files to another directory than the
program directory. Just set the working directory in the OS/2 program
object to the place where you want your data files kept.
Rewrote the help info to cater for all this...
Changes in release 1.01
=======================
Changed the background color of the floating help window from white to
yellow for better contrast.
Changed the title on the initial "nag" screen so that the window displays
as a reasonable width. If running in less than 1280x1024 before you
couldn't read all the nag text!
Changed the size of the floating text windows to better fit around the text
to stop the bottom of drop characters (like g) being deleted.
Made "Calculate Duration" mode the default if no INI file existed.
Added the release number to the "About..." screen.
Changed report so that it remembers the start date you requested and sets
it as default. End date is set to current date.
