Native XDS-x86 2.31 OS/2 Edition Release Announced
20 Mar 1998, Novosibirsk, Russia - XDS Ltd. announces yet another
renovation in its family of Modula-2/Oberon-2 programming systems -
Native XDS-x86 2.31 for OS/2.
NEW COMPONENTS
This release incorporates the following new components:
- Linker
- Symbolic debugger
- Profiler
- Disassembler
NEW FEATURES
The following enhancements were made to components which existed in
the previous version:
- Complete dynamic linking support
- Full debug info generation in CodeView and HLL4 formats
- Inline assembler (beta quality)
IDE RELEASE DEFERRED
The IDE shipped with this release it at 2.21 level. The new IDE will be
released in 2Q98 and will be available to official 2.31 users at no extra
cost.
PRICING
The suggested retail price was significantly increased in comparison with
v2.21. Special upgrade pricing is available for owners of previous versions.
