On January 21, the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA)
announced that IBM's Personal Software group in Austin, Texas, has received
ITAA*2000 certification. ITAA*2000 is the industry's century date change
certification program. This program examines processes and methods used by
companies to perform their Year 2000 software conversions.

Rigorous evaluation was conducted of IBM's approach to date conversion with
extensive analysis in eleven discrete areas. Certification means that IBM
Personal Software has the core capabilities required to tackle the Year 2000
challenge. Products developed with these certified processes and methods
include OS/2 Warp V4, OS/2 Warp V3, PC-DOS V7, OS/2 Warp Server V4, OS/2
Warp Connect V3, OS/2 LAN Server V4, Directory and Security Server for OS/2
Warp V4, DCE/DFS Client for OS/2 Warp, and others.
