Tired of the bleeps and bloops of your midi card. Then you need to turn
your processor into a wave table. MIDWAV renders midi completely with your
processor, then outputs the result using DART.
The midi engine used to do this is TiMidity -- Experimental MIDI to WAVE
converter Copyright (C) 1995 Tuukka Toivonen. The MIDIWAV additions
represent a GUI interface, which is used to control timidity. The GUI demon
can be used as a standalone player or it can be used in conjunction with the
MIDIWAV for Netscape plugin.
The new demon version contains many new enhancements:
1) New PM interface can also act as a standalone player
2) Is compatible with ALL KNOWN OS/2 plugins
3) Dynamic priority control rewritten and USER configurable.
4) Properties page to adjust all of the timidity settings.
5) Registry support to save settings.
6) Three play modes to handle MIDIs.
7) Many new player controls.
8) Easier and more logical installation.
9) Many other bug fixes and new features too numerous to mention
The Plugin also has new features:
1) New Interface
2) Controls that work
3) New IPC mechanism
4) Registry Support to save options.
Requirements:
1) 486-66dx2 processor or above
2a) OS/2 WARP 3.0 Revision 8.25 (FIXPACK 29) or LATER or
2b) OS/2 WARP 4.0 Base Level and above or
2c) Any OS/2 installation that supports DART and OPEN32.
(Although this IS A NATIVE PM program I use OPEN32 to save settings in
the registry.)
