---------------------------------------------------------------------
This is to notify and warn you that there turns out to be a bug in my
release version of Tcl 7.5/Tk 4.1 for OS/2 PM that can cause you DATA LOSS
when trying to append data to a file (by either "open file a" or >> file).
The named file will always be truncated to zero length. I apologize for this
f*ck-up.
I have uploaded a fixed version (both source and executables) to both
Neosoft's TCL-site and the Hobbes OS/2-site. The latter hadn't moved out of
incoming yet as of this morning.
Another bug was fixed: bitmaps got reversed. My experience with this bitmap
stuff on OS/2 seems to indicate there might be a bug in OS/2's GPI, which
might be confined to Warp 4 and might be fixed in the fixpack that was
provided with the first Beta of Lotus' Smartsuite 97.
The locations of the fixed archives:
Neosoft

ftp://ftp.neosoft.com/pub/tcl/sorted/distrib/tkos2-4.1x.tar.gz (exes)
Hobbes:
ftp://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/incoming/tk41os2s.zip (source)
ftp://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/incoming/tk41os2x.zip (exes)
(should be moved to ftp://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/os2/dev/tcl/ shortly)
