OS/2 APPS IN THE WORKS
Several German ISVs are preparing new releases of existing OS/2
applications, as well as brand new OS/2 apps:
- Xact 4.0 (Full and Business versions) has been available for the
past 6 weeks in Germany. Their English version is scheduled to
be released later this year. Xact has been adopted by the
Federal Office for Statistics ("Statistisches Bundesamt") in
Germany. A demo version (XACT40.ZIP) of this product is
available on Library 5 of the Canopus forum on Compuserve. Xact
will also be displayed at Comdex later this month.
- Impos2 2.0 will be released November 24th in Germany, and an
English version is scheduled to be released soon thereafter.
This version has many enhancements over the previous version.
- Recognita 3.0 for OS/2 is slated for release January 96.
- NEON Grafix 3D (in English) will be released December 1 in
Germany. You can see a demo of this product at Comdex.
- XBase/2 is a fully Clipper-compatible xbase compiler from Alaska
Software in Frankfurt. The English version is set to be
released within the next few weeks.
- Opus 1.0 Project Planner from Alpha GmbH has been available for
several weeks in Germany.
