New product eases OfficeVision to Notes migration

Document Transform Server (DTS) is the first of a family of new products
jointly developed by connectivity specialist DGA and document conversion
specialist Pembroke International, and will be warmly welcomed by those
looking to migrate from IBM OfficeVision to Lotus Notes, or those working in
an environment where the two systems co-exist. By delivering transparent
conversion of word processing documents between Notes and OfficeVision, DTS
enables the free availability of information in a mixed environment.

DTS operates in environments which use the major Lotus Notes or OfficeVision
email gateway links, including DGA's well-known DGAteway, the IBM Mail LAN
Gateway/2 (IMLG/2) and Softswitch solutions. Using DTS, documents and
attachments sent from the Host will arrive at the Lotus Notes addressee
mailbox as true Lotus Notes documents and messages sent from Lotus Notes to
the Host will arrive at the OfficeVision mailbox as DCA-RFT messages.

DTS also allows transformation server throughput and performance statistics
to be queried and recorded. All Transformation events are logged, including
detailed log files, created as each document is transformed. The system is
designed to be as transparent to users and as manageable for administrators
as possible.

"The DTS product is designed, initially, to assist organizations in easing
their transition from legacy OfficeVision documents to Lotus Notes"., says
Steve Lapthorn, Marketing Manager of DGA, "DTS is a robust, high quality
product, which enables documents to be made available to the entire
organization in a totally transparent manner".

"DTS provides document exchange with exceptionally high fidelity, allowing
users to exchange or migrate documents with complete confidence".,commented
Frank Shell, Managing Director of Pembroke International. "Not only does DTS
maintain important functionality like tables, columns, page-breaks, indents,
paragraph numbering and all character attributes, in both directions, it
uniquely enables documents created in a graphical environment, to be
reformatted into single typestyle for use in a 3270 without loss of
presentation or content, and then round-tripped back to Notes, still intact,
and workable".

Pembroke International is a leading supplier of document conversion
technology. Its mission is to develop and market very high quality document
exchange and text manipulation products that satisfy the growing requirements
of organizations with co-existing word-processing applications.
