PRESS RELEASE: Announcing AM for the OS/2 Warp Connect (Power PC Edition)

Sunbury based Intelligent Environments, the manufacturers of
AM (the leading 32-bit Client/Server Development Tool),
announced AM running on OS/2 Warp Connect (Power PC Edition)
on the 17th October 1995. Intelligent Environments today
announced that AM for OS/2 Warp Connect (Power PC Edition)
Version 4 will be available in the 4th quarter.

"OS/2* Warp Connect (Power PC** Edition) is the next
generation for many of our customers. It will offer
substantial performance gains, particularly in the high-end
workstation market. We have a long-term commitment to OS/2
because it is a rock solid and robust operating system, said
Dr. Laurence Shafe, CEO, Strategy, Intelligent Environments.
We have over 250,000 end-users world-wide using
AM-developed client/server applications. We have supported
the OS/2 environment for over 7 years".

Shafe added, "_at Intelligent Environments, we have always
believed in the need for 32-bit operating systems when
developing enterprise applications, in many cases
incorporating 1,000's of client users, especially where
scaleability is important. AM is available on OS/2, Windows
95 and Windows NT. Intelligent Environments were first to
announce their support of 32-bit OS/2, the first to ship a
Windows 95 development tool and now with the launch of OS/2
Warp Connect (Power PC Edition), AM is the first again.
Thus, Intelligent Environments is perfectly positioned as
the obvious development solution for Enterprise-wide
client/server development."

"The combination of Intelligent Environment's AM offering
and IBM's OS/2 Warp Connect (Power PC Edition) provides
developers with a powerful tool to help them create
mission-critical client/server applications," said Jim Gant,
vice president, IBM Solution Developer Operations.

Offering true scaleability, the OS/2 Warp Connect (Power PC
Edition) version of AM will be file compatible with the
popular Intel version of AM, allowing an effortless
migration strategy. Applications developed today, with the
current version 4.4 of AM for OS/2 will run utilising all
the functionality of the OS/2 Warp Connect
(Power PC Edition), automatically with no additional
changes required. Included in AM for the OS/2 Warp Connect
(Power PC Edition) is the database engine, communications
drivers, report writer, on-line debugger and the "C"
Interface Developers Kit. Prices Start at 6,400.
