---------------------------------------------------------------------
The Linux SANE (Scanner Access Now Easy) project supports a wide variety
of SCSI scanners, and is in active development. I've recently ported
the command-line portion of Sane-0.66 to OS/2 using Danial Dorau's "ASPI
Router" driver, and have placed binaries and source on hobbes.nmsu.edu
in "/pub/os2/apps/graphics/scan/sane661.zip".
You can read more about SANE at their web site: www.mostang.com/sane
I'm currently working on a JAVA GUI for SANE, with functionality similar
to the X-windows program "xscanimage" that's available on Linux.
