Version 1.01 of "Animated Mouse Pointer for OS/2" (WPAMPTR) is now available.
Have a look at the new version of the software, that Stardock Systems Inc.
named "Software treasure of the month" February 1997 (that was V1.00 !).
What it is:
"Animated Mouse Pointer for OS/2" is a FREEWARE WPS integrated SOM enhancement
class for the mouse object. With this program you can animate all of the OS/2
mouse pointers.
The following animation resource types are supported directly:
- OS/2 pointer files
- Win* cursor files
- Win* Animation files
- AniMouse resource DLL files
- animation set directories which can contain any of the above
within a certain name scheme.
(location on any partition supporting long file names like HPFS).
"Animated Mouse Pointer for OS/2" also includes a creation program for
AniMouse resource DLL files. More, "Animated Mouse Pointer for OS/2"
introduces the "Static Pointer" feature (even within AniMouse resource DLL
files).
"Animated Mouse Pointer for OS/2" replaces the Pointers page in the Mouse
object so that you can configure all the animations simply by modifying the
settings of the Mouse object, as you are already used to do. Use the advanced
Drag&Drop functionality provided by "Animated Mouse Pointer for OS/2" to drag
all the supported resource files directly over the container or over one of
its items (mouse pointers) to simply change the animation for all or only for
one of the mouse pointers.
Further, "Animated Mouse Pointer for OS/2" introduces some new Mouse object
settings strings so that you can setup all animation settings via the REXX API
call SysSetObjectData().
What's new:
- added REXX sample programs
- added additional National Language Support for one more language
(released separately, see below)
- more URLs to mouse pointer animations on the internet
- new animation(s), online fix support and download links on the new homepage

The REXX sample programs demonstrate you the full power of the REXX-WPS
Interface, which is greatly supported by "Animated Mouse Pointer for OS/2".
They let you change pointer sets from the commandline, and if you like to, you
can have changed your pointerset automatically, for example at system startup,
or periodically at an interval, that you specify.
And you get that all for FREE.
