COMDEX Internet & Object World Frankfurt '97:

Keynote Presentation by First Vice President of Union Bank of Switzerland
brings together technology and business

Frankfurt -- September 11, 1997. Dr. Patrik Gisel, First Vice President and
Head of Private Banking Application Development, Union Bank of Switzerland
(UBS), will present a keynote on October 8 at COMDEX Internet & Object World
Frankfurt '97. Titled "The Introduction of Object Technology in Finance: a
Manager's Perspective," the presentation will be based on Union Bank's
experience with Object Technologies.

Union Bank of Switzerland decided 3 years ago to choose object technology as a
major development paradigm for decentralized client/server systems
development. The keynote will concentrate on the experience with this
approach. UBS is  a full-service bank in Switzerland and a globally important
institution in wholesale financial services. As of December 31, 1996 total
assets amounted to CHF 437,3 billion, group operating profit for 1996 to CHF
4,483 million.

The keynote will be held on October 8 from 9.00-10.00 a.m. and will be open to
all attendees of COMDEX Internet & Object World Frankfurt (October 7-10, 1997,
Sheraton Conference Center, Frankfurt Airport).

October 8, 18:00-19:00: "Internet - Intranet Communications and new Trends",
Bill Gates, Chairman & CEO Microsoft Corp.,

October 9, 11:00-12:30: Panel Discussion: "Distributed Object Standards.. Will
there be two?". Panelists will be Patricia Dock, IBM, David Fleck, Chief
Scientist The Open Group, Dr. Erwin Koenigs, President & CEO Software AG, Dr.
Richard Soley, CTO Office of the President, Object Management Group, and
Richard Weir, Chief of Staff of Corporate Technology Novell Inc. The panel
discussion will be moderated by Prof. Roberto Zicari, University of Frankfurt
and LogOn.

October 9, 14:00-15:00: "Die Zukunft von Electronic Commerce (The Future of
Electronic Commerce)", Bernd Erlingheuser, Member of Board Bank 24 AG. This
keynote will be presented in German.
