The OS/2 SIG of the Philadelphia Area Computer Society invites all
interested computer users to attend the August monthly meeting:

IBM Office Building, 580 East Swedesford Road, Wayne, PA

- - V Trex by Aviar, Inc. - -
Dr. John J. Urbaniak, President and Founder of Aviar, Inc., will present
and demonstrate V Trex, new cutting-edge OS/2 software which allows users
of IBM DB2/2 Universal Database to access information with spoken natural
language commands. V Trex was first announced at DB Expo '97 earlier this
year and immediately aroused high interest & excitement. OS/2 SIG members
and all other interested users are urged not to miss this singular event.
* IBM's VoiceType Dictation provides state-of-the-art speech-enabled
Dictation and Navigation.
* V Trex adds the 3rd dimension: Speech-enabled Information Retrieval.
Other agenda items include new product releases, OS/2 news, live demos
of OS/2 apps, Internet, Java, etc., Q&A session, OS/2 software raffle,
SIG web page status, and much more ... as time may permit.
OS/2 SIG meetings are open to all OS/2 users, their guests and others
interested in learning more about OS/2. Light refreshments are also
available for everyone, free of charge.
Mark the date and time: August 27th, 7:00pm. If you want to hear about
new and exciting developments, or have questions about the OS/2 Warp
operating system, this is the place to see OS/2 in action and get the
answers to your questions.
The IBM building is approximately 1.5 miles south of the intersection
of S. Gulph Road & Route 202 in the King of Prussia, PA area.
From Philadelphia and points east, go to the Schuylkill Expressway (I-76)
westbound. Exit at King of Prussia at Route 202 South (Exit 26B). Stay in
right lane. E. Swedesford Rd. splits off from Rte 202 almost immediately.
Pass by Home Depot, Royal Bank and Sunoco. Cross Warner Rd, Drummers Lane
& Old Eagle School Rd. IBM is 3rd bldg on left after Old Eagle School Rd.
From Norristown, go south on Route 202. King of Prussia Mall will be on
your right, followed by major intersection at S. Gulph Rd. Stay in the
right lane after crossing S. Gulph Rd. Then proceed as indicated above
after passing over the overpass above the Schuylkill Expressway (I-76).
From Paoli, West Chester and vicinity, take Rte. 202 North. Exit at
Devon by the Valley Forge Music Fair and Gateway Shopping Center.
Go to Valley Forge Road, pass under Route 202, and then turn off onto
E. Swedesford Rd. heading north. IBM building at 580 East Swedesford
Road is on the right, approximately 1.25 miles from Valley Forge Rd.
Entrance is on the right side of the building, between two buildings
at 580 and 530 E. Swedesford Rd. Parking is available in marked areas.
