About the Talk
Arnold Bramnick will give an overview of the microkernel technology the
OS/2 for PowerPC product is based on. He will then discuss the
implementation of the OS/2 pieces on top of the microkernel, as
well as API compatibility and user compatibility (GUI).
About the Speaker
Arnold Bramnick is a technical lead for the architecture and development
of OS/2 for PowerPC. He was a member of a small team that designed and
architected the OS/2 pieces of the product. After the design was done,
he became the technical lead for the project. That involves the day to
day operation and building of the product.
Arnold joined IBM in 1980 and has been working with OS/2
since 1991. His title is Senior programmer.
