PlusPak: B.U.G.S brings old fashioned arcade fun to OS/2.
Stardock releases the first entertainment PlusPak component.
Livonia MI-Stardock Systems, a leading developer of OS/2 software, is proud to
announce the release of PlusPak: B.U.G.S, a new arcade game that is part of
Stardock's PlusPak series of OS/2 programs. This new game was developed by
Jeppe Cramon, maker of the Cramon Utilities (a set of freeware/shareware
utilities for OS/2), and Ingo Guenther.
PlusPak: B.U.G.S. is a completely new arcade game in the tradition of the
arcade classic Galaga. In PlusPak: B.U.G.S. you must save the universe from
Bill's Unbelievable Ghastly Spaceships! The evil Bill wants nothing less than
to rule the universe and you are Earth's only hope. Take command of the
defender ship and blast the BUGS from the galaxy.
PlusPak: B.U.G.S. features not only 50+ levels, that can even be played in
random order so they're always challenging., but also has different levels of
difficulty, so all types of players will find it exciting. There are many
hours of fun are in this original OS/2 arcade game, making it the perfect game
for letting off some steam.
The game has a number of different enemy bugs each more impressive and more
deadly that last, including deadly BOSS bugs that need to be killed at the end
of each group of levels. Other highlights include changing (scrolling)
backgrounds with each new set of levels, and animated explosions.
The games itself is rendered in gorgeous 256 color graphics, that use OS/2's
DIVE API for optimal performance. The sounds in PlusPak: B.U.G.S. is also
exceptional and uses OS/2's advanced DART API as well as OS/2's high
resolution timer for pin point accuracy when saving the galaxy.
B.U.G.S. is available for $24.95 when ordered online from Stardock's commerce
