Hi,
I'm after about a dozen ALPHA testers of a new 'fire-and-forget' USENET news
binary extractor.
I didn't like the high level of interactivity with the current OS/2 binary
decoding programs, so I wrote my own.
It's quite simple, once your connected you can simply issue the command:
NewsScrape <your news server name> <group name>
For example:
NewsScrape news.ourimbah.com.au alt.binaries.clip-art
All the binary attachments from the group specified will be placed under a
directory called the same as the group name.
On an even more 'fire-and-forget' level, simply issued the command
NewsScrape <news server name>
And NewsScrape will download all binaries from all groups in the file
'groups'. And yes, NewsScrape remembers where it was up to last time.
Obviously this requires HPFS support, and a net connection.
mail me for details,
first in best dressed!
