The penultimate V.18 Beta is online, there will be only one more beta release
before the Enhanced E's reach the first full version 1.0
NEW in the Enhanced E v.18 BETA;
Added integrated code template tool for D&D, clipboard or doubleclick
(HTML, IPF, REXX, etc... [user extendible]) code insertion.
Added Line and character number in infoline.
Changed "Save as" to allow upper & lower case.
The shareware Enhanced E Editor is a 32 bit, multithreaded OS/2 PM text editor
that builds on the functionality of the freeware editor included in the same
package. Productivity is #1 with the Enhanced E. A large file history gives
you quick access to recently used files. You can print a small section of a
large file by highlighting it and choosing "Print selected". Save a few
tidbits from a file or two? From the menu or via drag and drop it's a piece of
cake for the Enhanced E. Insert time, date, your name (or any line of text) or
maybe you want to drop in a signature file. Easy, just hit the hotkey for it
or pick it off of the menu, right click pops the menu, left click picks it.
Strip HTML files seamlessly, while loaded in the editor. Rearrange text or
haul it elsewhere with drag and drop ease. Open a code template to drag code
snippets to the editor. Naturally you get the functionality that OS/2 users
expect and many others don't know exist. Here is a listing of some of the
Enhanced E's features:
Save or print selected text, printer setups, time-date-name-signature file
insert, spawn new session, extensive drag and drop, popup menus, undo,
toolbar, configurable autoSave, large/user limited file history, find by
keyword or line #, multiple language support, presentation mode, HTML code
stripping, bubble help, built-in code template tool, import...
