A new version of the Caller ID for OS/2 has just been uploaded to
hobbes.nmsu.edu.
The new version is V1.6 Rel. 1
It is on the os/2 incoming directory or /os2/comm.
The file name is: CALLOS2.ZIP
What it does:
o The program plays a WAV file based on the incoming phone number.
o The program plays a WAV file based on the incoming name from the phone co.
o Multiple wav files per caller. The program will rotate throught the list
of wav files. (It could play "Bill Smith", "Hey it's Bill" or "Bill").
o Displays name, number, date and time of caller.
o Displays a BMP file based on the incoming phone number.
o Logs the callers name, number to a file.
o Block undesirable callers
o Page you with the phone number(s) of caller's. This can be done by paging
you with a list of at different callers at times or page you righ after the
call.
(Must have page PAGEOS2.ZIP)
What you need:
o Supra or zoom modem with the caller ID option.
The ZyXel is suppored in Russian and Standard mode(Not Tested)
o OS/2 V2.1 or better (Tested under Warp only)
o Sound card and MMPM/2 Installed
o Caller id from the phone CO.
