DYNDNS/2 3.1 has been released!
The popular DYNDNS.com client now has support for ML.ORG. DYNDNS/2 also has
many new features and improvements like: INSTALL program, SETUP program,
COMMAND LINE IP switching, IP RESET, and 4 WWW buttons for your WWW page
POWERED by you DNS service of your choice (2 are animated 2 are non-animated).
What is this DYNAMIC DNS service? Well DYNDNS.com, ML.ORG, and NWS.NET (will be
supported in future release of DYNDNS/2) provide a service that will give you
a STATIC DNS name like MyHOST.dyndns.com at a very *LOW COST. To use this
service you need a client to update the server with your IP. Since there were
no REAL good OS/2 clients I have to make one! And I did DYNDNS/2! The main
advantage to using a DNS service is to be able to run Servers like an IRC
server, mail server, FTP server, WWW server, etc. with the same DNS name so people
don't have to go a WWW page or to IRC to get your IP and use your computer's
servers.
Where can I get DYNDNS/2?
Well, there is only one place to get DYNDNS/2 (as of now). SekTor Technologies'
WWW server! Set your browser to http://SekTorTech.DYNDNS.com or
http://SekTorTech.DYN.ML.ORG and click on the DYNDNS/2 link to download the
client and learn more about it.
