If you have Worldnet as an ISP and get disconnected shortly after dialing, do
NOT reinstall Warp.
AT&T has confirmed that a system change made sometime around 19 April caused
unexpected problems with some OS/2 PPP stacks.
A fix has been reported and implemented and tested on the Seattle PoP. They
have announced that they are upgrading other PoPs as quickly as possible.
However, they did not have a current list of updated PoPs last I checked in
their worldnet.help.service-issues support newsgroup.
The "Dial Other Internet Providers" is confirmed to have problems, and ILink/2
dialer has occasional unconfirmed reports of problems. InJoy is being suggested
as a workaround by AT&T support personnel in worldnet.help.service-issues and I
believe in worldnet.users.wurd WN support newsgroups.
If you are still unable to access worldnet but have email access via another
means, the Worldnet Customer Satisfaction Email address seems to be:
AT&T WorldNet Service <wncustsat1@worldnet.att.net>
or you can call their 1-800-line.
