BMT Micro, Inc. Assumes iLink/2 Development.
=============================================
08 April, 1997 Wilmington, NC - BMT Micro, Inc. announced that it has assumed
development of iLink/2 the popular PM internet dialer for OS/2 Warp 3.0 and
4.0.
iLink/2 was among the first alternatives OS/2 users had to the dialer supplied
by IBM and is still the only full featured presentation manager alternative.
"iLink/2 is a breeze to setup and configure", says Thomas Bradford, president
of BMT Micro. "The feature set, including auto-redial, autostarts, and
information windows along with the extreme ease of setup make this the ideal PM
candidate replacement for the dialer that ships with Warp. Now OS/2 users
have 2 excellent dialer alternatives - InJoy, the text based dialer continues
to be a consistent top seller for users who favor text based applications and
iLink/2 for those who prefer PM applications."
The current version of iLink/2 is .99c and has been available since last year.
A new release of the registered code (version 99d) is available to all
registered users and a shareware version of .99d will be released on April 9th.
Current registered users can contact BMT Micro at bmt@wilmington.net for
information on how to download the new registered code.
Changes in .99d are:
1. Ported from Borland to Visual Age CPP
2. Code changes to increase speed and stability
