I am pleased to announce SofTouch Systems will be holding its next "Sound off
with SofTouch Systems" on Internet Relay Chat (IRC), on Undernet's channel
#os/2. The event will take place Friday, March 7, from 10PM - 12PM EST
(9PM-11PM Central, and 7PM - 9PM Pacific). Some of the easier to get on
servers are: [1] phoenix.az.us.undernet.or [2] sanjose.ca.us.undernet.or [3]
chicago.il.us.undernet.org.
Larry Martin, author of the bestselling set of system and desktop maintenance
tools, will be the featured guest. Martin will discuss UniMaint, his latest
incarnation in the famous xxxMaint series, and solicit suggestions for new
features or enhancements to UniMaint. UniMaint was recently named OS/2
e-Zine!'s Reader's Choice for best system utility/tool for 1996.
Martin is especially interested in identifying product requirements from
network administrators and LAN analysts to round out his upcoming server
version of UniMaint. Tell him what you need in a network version of UniMaint
to improve your productivity. There's a good chance your suggestions just
might make their way into the new product!
To encourage new users to participate, SofTouch Systems will be giving away
free software and prizes throughout the evening. One free copy of GammaTech
IRC, UniMaint, and FileStar/2 will be passed out to lucky guests, plus a
couple of our brand new wrist rests as well.
If you would like to participate but you don't have an IRC client yet, just
download a demo version of GammaTech IRC from Compuserve's OS2BVEN library,
Section 12 (GO SOFTOUCH), or the SofTouch Systems web site

e-Zine!'s 1996 Reader's Choice award for best IRC client. This demo version is
fully enabled and gives you the opportunity to try out all its features (it
just times out after 30 minutes usage ;-) ).
Learn how to use a fun new way to communicate with others using internet relay
chat, and give us some positive suggestions for improving our products!
