FontFolder is the native OS/2 Font Manager that allows you to easily use large
collections of Type 1 or TrueType fonts in OS/2 without bogging down the
system or generating hopelessly long font selection lists in applications. You
can have rapid access to hundreds or even thousands of fonts while keeping
only a small number actually installed in OS/2 at any time. Browse and print
fonts without having to install them, use fonts directly from CDROMs, create
fontpacks that install whole collections of fonts as a unit, and more. OS/2
Magazine (June, 1996) said, "I found FontFolder to be a very stable product
that performed every font management function that I could possibly use".

NEW IN VERSION 3.0:

TRUETYPE SUPPORT - FontFolder now supports TrueType fonts when used with Warp
4. TrueType support is seamlessly integrated into FontFolder. You don't have
to do anything different to use TrueType fonts, and you can mix and match Type
1 and TrueType fonts in all your libraries and fontpacks. And you will always
know which is which because FontFolder adds a Type 1 or TrueType icon
alongside each font to identify it.

DRAG AND DROP SUPPORT - Version 3 brings the simplicity of drag-and-drop
operations to fonts in OS/2. Installing and uninstalling fonts has never been
easier. Drag and drop any Type 1 or TrueType font file on the FontFolder
Installed Fonts List and the font is installed in OS/2. Drag the font from the
Installed Fonts List to the FontFolder shredder and the font is uninstalled.
Open the FontFolder Font Browser and you can drag and drop any font file on
the Browser window to see what the font looks like. No need to install the
font or even register it with FontFolder. And of course drag-and-drop is
supported for all the operations involving FontFolder's Libraries and
FontPacks as well.

FONT SPECIFICATIONS WINDOW - If you've ever wished to see more detailed
information about a font, now you can. There is a new Font Specs window
associated with the Browser that will show you a selection of the technical
details that OS/2 reports about a font. The top half of the window shows
details about the character drawings such as the height of ascenders and
descenders, "x" height (lower case character height), and other parameters
that characterize the character drawings. The lower half displays what code
pages the font was designed to support, what OS/2 thinks are the styles of the
font, such as weight (bold, semi-bold, etc.), width (compressed, extended,
etc.), and things such as whether the font is an italic style and if it is
monospaced.
