BACKGROUND BBS CAPABILITIES, RHINOCOM v1.5 !

Enhanced Host Mode with Digiboard(TM) support, AutoScripting,
CompuServe B+, and Global Settings

October 1, 1995--Columbia, MD--Rhintek Incorporated releases RhinoCom
Version 1.5 to the OS/2 modem communications market. RhinoCom's
Workplace Shell interface replaces the venerable dialing directory
with an intuitively object-oriented phone book, or Rhinodex. Extensive
configurability with logical defaults, full-featured macros, fast
transfers, and REXX scripting insure that RhinoCom excels at modem
communications.

Features added with the release of 1.5 are:

o automated script learning with AutoScripting,
o graphical manipulations of global settings,
o Host Mode as a secure background BBS,
o and the CompuServe B+ transfer protocol.

"Ease-of-use" best describes the philosophy behind RhinoCom's
AutoScripting. With its helpful step-by-step dialog box interface,
AutoScripting makes it trivial to match data coming in with the
responses that you want returned. Username and Password responses are
available at the click of a button while the response entry field
allows you to customize complex situations.

RhinoCom's Host Mode provides secure BBS functionality, allowing users
to set up their OS/2 system to handle BBS calls in the background and
continue to use that machine for other projects. Ten independently
modifiable access levels allow complete control over system security.
Create an open (guests allowed) or closed system and allow any number
of users (if authorized) to post messages, send mail, upload,
download, change drive or directory, open an OS/2 Command Window, and
execute named macros on the host machine. Sysop-only functions
include modifying user privileges while they are on-line, mail and
message system maintenance, and local login. Run multiple copies of
RhinoCom for unlimited multi-line support and hook up a Digiboard(TM)
for 16, 64, or more incoming lines!

Along with Text/Binary, XMODEM, YMODEM, ZMODEM, and Kermit, RhinoCom
1.5 contains CompuServe B+. CompuServe B+ is a transfer protocol
optimized for the CompuServe Online service. Current terminal
emulations are: ANSI, VT52, VT100, VT320, and Data General's DG217,
DG411, and DG413 terminals.

RhinoCom is available direct from Rhintek or through OS/2 sources such
as OS+ Resource, OS/2 Express, and Indelible Blue. List Price is $199
with quantity and license-only discounts available. Visit our new WEB
site www.rhintek.com/rhintek or log on to our BBS (using RhinoCom v1.5
Host Mode) at (301) 596-5618!

RHINOCOM HOME EDITION FOR PERSONAL OS/2 COMMUNICATIONS !

Powerful modem software at a comfortable price.

October 2, 1995--Columbia, MD--In response to market demands for a
small-office or home RhinoCom product, Rhintek releases RhinoCom
v1.5 Home Edition. Look and feel are similar to RhinoCom v1.5
Standard Edition with Rhinos and Rhinodexes continuing to promote
true object-oriented communications for OS/2. Help is extensive (and
context-sensitive) with an updated tutorial and the ever-friendly
"Coach." AutoLogon automates creation of sign-on scripts with an
intuitive interface and button-driven commands. The Status Box
remains fully configurable, attaching to any side of the main window
or floating independently. Mouse operations are customizable with a
favorite feature being the ability to send characters and words out
of the comport for true point-and-click communicating -- even to non-
mouse-enabled applications!

The philosophy behind RhinoCom Home is to create a simple,
easy-to-use, personal modem communications product for a fraction of
the cost of corporate RhinoCom Standard. "We've looked into the
communication needs of home and small office users and are providing
that in the same framework as RhinoCom Standard Edition," explains
Rhintek President Rainer McCown. "We were able to reuse 98% of the
Standard Edition code in Home, thereby maintaining the stability,
reliability, and the powerful engine that makes RhinoCom famous."

RhinoCom Home includes the latest improvements found in RhinoCom v1.5:
CompuServe B+, AutoLogon, and Global Settings. Along with CompuServe
B+, RhinoCom Home's file transfer protocols are Text, Binary, XMODEM,
and ZMODEM. ANSI and VT100 terminal emulations are provided. Macros
are available on function keys and are intuitive to create and
maintain through the use of context menus and mouse commands.

A fully-featured demo is available for RhinoCom Home. Purchase and
download Home directly from the OS/2 Shareware Board at (703) 385-0931
or buy either RhinoCom Edition directly from Rhintek or through OS/2
product resellers such as OS+ Resource, OS/2 Express, and Indelible
Blue. List Price is $99 with introductory, quantity, and license-only
discounts available.
